Photography

An amateur learning how to capture a story.

The interest was born - Xyla’s visit

A high school friend’s visit in Berlin turning into a photography class 101. She taught me to look at small details. And its not the perfection that matters, but the difference.

Photo sessions with family members and friends

Fortunately, I have relatives and friends who were “convinced” to pose for me. But I told them not to smile if possible, which is for Filipinos the weirdest thing to do. Taken in Manila and Subic in 2014.

Photo session with Franz in Vienna, Austria

I asked Franz, a very good friend of mine, if he would like to “model” for me during our holiday in Vienna in 2014. I learned how to work on facial shots and he learned how to pose. He ended up signing up for a professional model agency after this. That is what I call win-win situation.

Formal Photography Lessons, Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI), 2014

I attended a week-long photography class in Manila during my vacation. I learned the basic knowledge of the trade. I never thought being thrilled to know what an aperture ist and how to freeze water.

Fashion Shoot, 2014

I wanted to know how it feels like to shoot for fashion. With Rishi as model.

Thailand - the land with the biggest smile

Also in 2014, my mother, brother, Tita Anne and I spontaneously decided to visit Bangkok. I brought my camera and captured a breathtaking face of the city. And the food was great!
